I'm looking for ideas for each side of our fireplace which right now are pretty much blank walls. If we do something like this it would mean putting in windows and a little more light wouldn't be so bad.

Like this too with a hutch on each side of the fireplace and it would be a little less work then putting in windows.
This is very much the same idea as the one above.
